Cancellation Policy

24 hours notice is required for cancellations. The full hourly rate will be charged for any missed appointments without the full 24 hours notice and will be paid prior to booking another therapy session.

Extended Health Benefits

We do not accept insurance payments directly. If you wish to use your insurance benefits, we will provide you with a detailed paid receipt for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement after you have paid the bill first. This is an insurance company policy.

Extended health plans with private insurance companies such as Blue Cross, Sunlife, Manulife and Great West Life may cover private therapy sessions. Depending on your current health insurance provider and employee benefit plan, it is possible for services to be covered in full or in part. Please contact your provider to verify how your plan compensates you for counselling/psychotherapy services provided by a Social Worker, Registered Psychotherapist, Counselling Therapist or Counselling Therapist.

Income Tax Claim

Some small business owners and some Canadian residents can claim counselling fees under their Health Spending Account or as a medical expense when they file their income tax with the Canada Revenue Agency.  Keep your receipts so you can discuss the same with your income tax preparation specialist.

First Nations & Inuit Health Benefits

First Nation band members can access sessions with a counselling therapist under the First Nations and Inuit Health Benefit. Our therapists may be registered as providers with NIHB and Jordan's Principle.
