Counselling
We are proud of our therapists. They each come to Changing Steps with experience in service provision, as well as ongoing and specialized training in various modalities.
Read our therapist's biographies to decide who you want to begin your healing journey with or we can match you with a therapist who has the time availability you require. Once you reach out you will be provided an Intake form and Consent form to complete that is reviewed by the Clinical Director. She will match you with your therapist. All therapists receive supervision from our Clinical Director. We are also a virtual counselling agency so all of this happens in our meeting rooms that meet Canadian Standards.
We are journey walkers. Our approach strives to be trauma focussed which means we then need to be anti-racist, queer, trans friendly.
Sessions are paid up front and a receipt is provided that you can direct to your insurance company. If you don't have insurance, your receipt may be able to be used as an income tax expense (check with your accountant).
